Lighting

In this still image I can see that a low key light has been utilised, perhaps to show the protagonists frightened facial expression. The bottom half of the character is not lit as a top lighting has been employed. The dark and shadowed feeling toward this image could depict her imprisoned environment due to the location of this image. The lighting in this representation gives a captive effect.

 

In this image I can identify high key light has been employed in this image due to the filler light illustrated here. A high key lighting could have been utilised to emphasise the protagonist’s authority and power due to his stern expression and use of mise en scene. The crown here symbolises victory, triumph, honour, and glory which could be the reason why a back light has been employed. 

The back lighting reinforces the powerful sentiment in this still image.

From this image I can gather that a top light has been used due to the protagonist well lit face. A low key employed in this still image as the bottom half the image is dark and not lit.  A top light was perhaps utilised to give the protagonist a more intimidating look. This also could also be used to illustrate he dangerous presents.

A high key light has been used in this image to provide this image a realistic feel. As the image in black and white, shadows become more apparent. Due to protagonists frightened facial expression she could feel she sense of escapism as she’s been backed into a corner.

From this still image I can gather a high key light has been employed in order to make the image more realistic. The shadow in this image could have been used in order to perhaps make the moment more special as the top lights make them more glamorous.

The shadows in this image are very distinctive as a back light has been utilised to make moment more vintage. Low key light could have been used to symbolise the group authority due to their body language. The black and white back ground reinforces this point.

The black and white image enforces the low key light that has been utilised in this image to make the situation more alarming and fearsome due the protagonist’s body language. Darkness connotes danger and vulnerability which from the characters facial expression is obvious.

Filler lights are used more in this image in order to make this image more powerful and even out the shadows. The photographer perhaps didn’t employ any shadows in this image in order to focus on the woman’s facial expression.
